How many violations do you have to commit on Y!A before they suspend an account?

I've had 5 violation emails, I appealed for 4 but none were reinstated, and I've had 3 answer violations as well in the past fortnight.

How many do you usually get before they suspend an account in this space of time.|||No set number, this info may help you. Suspension pretty much means you are finished with that YA account although you can continue to use the email address. You can appeal but that is rarely successful, You might be best to forget it and start over again with a new account.Yahoo doesn't seem to play favorites, it doesn't matter if you have been a member for day, a week,a month or years or are a top contributor the same rules apply to everyone. It also doesn't seem to matter the number of violations but more the severity or perceived severity of the violations. Yahoo takes a dim view of SPAM, bigotry, pornography , insulting other members, racism, anything that even borders on illegal such as drugs even soft drugs, downloading movies, music programs etc. or links to that kind of stuff Any of that can mean a speedy exit.Your old points are history.Yahoo just doesn't give specific reasons for account suspension.

You can read the guidelines and terms of service below, they tend to be very ambiguous, appeals are often a waste of time and points. Some suggestions, If you haven't done so, edit you info so your questions and answers are hidden that way it makes it harder for trolls who enjoy reporting violations or presumed violations to stalk you. Also, avoid pages with controversial subjects such as religion, homosexuality, racism, pornography, any hatred, downloading movies or music, drugs even soft drugs, etc. Don't give smart, flip or sarcastic answers nor use any profanity and if you believe you are being stalked go to other categories. You might also consider changing your avatar and I.d.

http://info.yahoo.com/legal/us/yahoo/uto鈥?/a>|||There is no exact number, since accounts are reviewed individually. One major TOS violation will get you suspended immediately with no warning. Many minor violations over a year will not get you suspended, but those same violations in a couple of days will. YA has always said that EACH violation is a warning your account is under review and the next violation may be the one that puts you over the top.

Suspensions are forever, unless you can convince them they made a mistake in applying the rules and that you didn't violate the rules.|||Getting suspended depends on the severity of the violation, a really bad one like terms of service can get you suspended immediately or minor ones like chatting it will take quite a few unless you get many very quickly in short space of time, exact amount not known .:::::Any time you get a violation notice it is a warning that your account is in jeopardy.:::::: When a user is SUSPENDED for violating the Community Guidelines, their Yahoo! Answers account is disabled.

:::::They can still browse the website, but they cannot ask questions, or answers questions on the site.

::::All Suspensions are permanent. You can only get your account back if you appeal for your account and your appeal is accepted, and that happens only when you are Suspended by a false violation, but most of the time, the appeals are declined, and so almost no one ever get their accounts back.

::::::::::::::::If you violate the Yahoo! Terms of Service (impersonate someone, harass users here, use pornographic pictures) your account will be DEACTIVATED if Yahoo! receives a report.

::::::::::::::::Difference between SUSPENSION and account DEACTIVATION is that you can still have your Yahoo! ID if you are Suspended (as in you can still use your Yahoo! Mail and other Yahoo! services except Yahoo! Answers), but if your account is Deactivated, you will lose your entire Yahoo! ID, and won't be able to sign in into your email|||It depends on the severity. I've know people that racked up over 100 for "chatting" without getting suspended. Then agan sometimes just 1 "insulting other memebers" is all it takes to earn the axe.
