How many violation notices can you get before they suspend your account?

And how does it work? Is it cumulative, or in a specific period of time, or what?

Also, any tips on avoiding report monkeys? Other than sticking to the community guidelines, 'cause so far that hasn't really worked.|||There's really no set number of violations to warrant the permanent suspension of your Answers account. Not even Customer Care will give you the information, as they keep all this extremely secret.

All it takes is just a rapid succession of several violations in a short period of time or a very serious one for this to happen. (CG violations are spam, insulting other users, vulgar language, underage accounts, bit torrent sites, etc.) When a person gets repeatedly reported, their account will be reviewed for a possible suspension and could happen without any given warning. I strongly recommend that you must read up on the Community Guidelines right away. Reading up on the rules will just take only a few minutes, and it's a very small price to pay to keep your account from being suspended. This is to also ensure your future participation here.

Also, it can just take only one-just one-violation of the Terms of Service that can warrant the sudden deactivation of their entire Yahoo account without any given warning whatsoever. (TOS violations are impersonating, posting malicious links, illegal activities, controlled substances, etc.) That means you'll risk losing access to your account and whatever was stored there. You may also need to read up on the TOS to ensure this doesn't happen.

Keep in mind Yahoo, under the Terms of Service, must legally protect itself by not allowing staffers to get into specifics on what I've just explained to you. Just leave them alone about this issue.

Reminder: Sticking to the rules can help you avoid incurring violations in the future that can result in the suspension or sudden deactivation of your account. When receiving a violation email, please heed their warnings and take them seriously. They want you to stop the violations immediately. Simple as that.|||The Yahoo statement is that one or more trusted reporters must report a question or answer for it to be deleted. You can appeal and if the appeal is upheld the reporter loses some credibility. It takes a number of violations to get someone suspended, the exact number would vary dependant on the severity of the violations.|||Yahoo doesn't seem to play favorites, it doesn't matter if you have been a member for day, a week,a month or years or are a top contributor the same rules apply to everyone. It also doesn't seem to matter the number of violations but more the severity or perceived severity of the violations. Yahoo takes a dim view of SPAM, bigotry, pornography , being underage 13, insulting other members, racism, anything that even borders on illegal such as drugs even soft drugs, downloading movies, music programs etc. or links to that kind of stuff Any of that can mean a speedy exit.

it is a serious violation to have more than one YA account. It is considered to be cheating and If you do you could be suspended

Your old points are history.Yahoo just doesn't give specific reasons for account suspension.|||It depends on the violation. If it was a Terms of Service violation, you could be suspended after ONE violation, with no warning or notice. Other things like chat seem to require many violations before someone is suspended.|||The next one.
