Is there a way to temporarily suspend your MySpace account with out losing everything like facebook?

I don't want to lose my friends or anything else. I suspended my facebook account for about a year and then reactivated it and everything was still there.|||Unfortunately there is no magic button you can click, but you can do it manually. Here's how.

Go to your homepage, then the preferences where you can edit the content of your page (About Me, What school you went to, etc). Cut and paste everything you have entered on your myspace into a Word or Notepad document. Save that somewhere on your computer, then update your myspace to be completely blank. You can save all your photo's as well to your computer then delete them from the site. Delete any comments you have on your page, and set comments to require approval, so none will appear until you're ready to start your myspace back up.

When you are ready, re-upload all your photos, and copy and paste your info from the notepad document back into myspace and "Save Changes". Your page will go from blank to exactly the way you had it before.

Your friends will still be able to see it, but they won't spend more than a second glancing at your blank page with a blank name and blank image. Make sure that when you return you send them all a note saying you're back, or let them know you're leaving for a while so they won't delete "that weird blank profile" from their friend's list.|||Set it to private. Don't allow messages. And don't log in.|||You can just... not get on. You can't suspend a MySpace account.|||ask tom =) lol
