Warning to suspend my yahoo account if I do not fill in the data info. Is this genuine?

I filled it the info sheet bu I refused to write my password which is not encrypted. I suspect it might be a hacker. A friend has had his email hacked. I got an email from him asking my financial help because he has been robbed in London and cannot go home. I asked his neighbor his whereabouts and he informed me he is assigned in Iligan %26amp; cannot be somewhere else. His email then has been hacked|||It's a scam. How many violations or answer/question reports have to be made to suspend my yahoo account?

It happened twice, and i don't want to lose this one, too...

(my old acc's had over 500 points in it!)|||There is no set amount. One violation if really severe could be enough. It is usually after a pattern of repeat violations that a user gets suspended.

But almost everybody who has been on Answers for any length of time has gotten at least one report or violation. If it's something like for chat then it would probably take quite a few to get suspended. It is worse if you get a lot of reports or violations in a short amount of time though.

Since you have been suspended twice you can probably answer this question fairly well yourself. Just how many violations or reports did you get before your previous accounts were suspended?|||Okay, thanks for BA and for answering MY question. Interesting, I've gotten about 6 but spread out over time. I think 3 or 4 in a short time must be pretty bad.

|||It also depends on the Reporting Power of the reporter !

Good reporters need around ~5 quick reports to get an account suspended.

Average reporters can never suspend an account despite even 20+ reports

Bad reporters won't be able to even delete the Q/A :)

|||There is no set number. I've had two violations so far as well and I'm still here. It just depends on the severity of the violation. If you posted an illegal website, that just one violation will get you suspended. However, if you received a violation because you (for example) called out a user, it is a minor violation and it will take several more to get you suspended. Violations just pile up. When the pile gets to high, you'll get suspended.|||there is no #. but if you are getting a lot of violations over a short period of time a staff member is going to review your account and may suspend you. but it can only take 1 major violation to get you suspended forviolencee or something along those lines.|||It could take only one, depends on how serious it was. Why did you suspend my gstilwel@prodigy.net account with no warning or valid way to reinstate?

My account was suspended - probably because I had to get a new credit card and invalidate my old one. A bogus tele number ran me in loops for hours trying to set it right. Now I'm losing emails every day. How can I get my Prodigy account back OR get all those emails forwarded to my new Yahoo.com account?|||Unfortunately once an account becomes suspended its permanent, and i only know of 2 people ever getting their accounts back, and that was after months of constant emailing and phone calls.

Also unfortunately once an account is suspended its impossible to access those emails to forward them to your new account, as they have been deleted.

Are yahoo answers right to brand my father a racist and suspend his account ? serious answers please?

My father is a teacher, and was very disturbed to see the panorama programme, on how some saudi schools teach sharia law in England. In which the cutting of hands and feet, and other executions are taught to young muslim children. Was my father wrong to ask why this is going on, and is he racist, as some of the com-mentors obviously never saw this programme, but were to quick to brand my father a racist, and get his yahoo answers closed.|||Your father had a right to be concerned and to express his concern respectfully and in the form of a question on Y!A.|||On first viewing this question my initial thought was, "how dare yahoo answers do that", but because you haven't shown the question your father posed (I'm guessing it may have not been saved by your father) it's hard to say really, as he may have written it in such a way that Muslims could have been very offended by it. The other thing to take into consideration here is, they may have deleted the question because they were concerned about an 'incident' going out of control, knowing how extremist muslims can react like these days.

Also, did they actually state that they thought your father was a racist? Or is this just your assumption to why they deleted his question?

And no, I don't think your father is a racist, but i can't be 100% sure without seeing the original question posed by him, how it was written etc.|||Having not seen the original text of your fathers question opens the way for a lot of possible answers. With your father being an educator one couldsee his concerns for the childrens mental and physical well being. One would also need to consider the culture, because all have aspects that not everyone can agree on but might have to accept. No I personally don't think it's wrong to question why something is the way it is. that my friend is how changes are brought about. Look at slavery in America, Someone asked "WHY". As to the question is your father a racist , only he can truly answer that and it has to come from within "GOOD or BAD" To some degree all people are racist they just won't openly admit it. This is 1 persons opinion.|||Assuming you told the whole, unbiased story:

How is that racist? Muslim is not a race; it is a religion. Also, I believe that it would be illegal in England to cut off someones hand or execute them for breaking a muslim law. Correct? So they are teaching something illegal is what I am getting out of it.|||Racisim is the unjustified prejudice against a race of people. This accounts for most race related prejudice.

If it's justified however, that's a completely different matter.

For instance, haircare products are often made for people of a certain race. Not to discriminate, but to provide what is most relevant to the customer. Is this racism? No.|||We live in this world and it is governed by mankind.

The governance of mankind by himself results in decisions being made to try and govern fairly.

The more fairly mankind tries to govern the more unfair it will get towards different groups.

Suppression of opinion is one way of governing people, it might not be fair, but it may well prevent hate crimes.

Study the prophets and understanding the true identity of Western peoples and you will begin to understand why this has happened and why it will probably get worse.|||there appears to be some confusion about how things get deleted and suspended. YOUR ACCOUNT SUSPEND FOR YAHOO ANSWER.

I don't think so i did any mistake or abuse . i just answered for some question.

kindly how to recover my account . help me .|||You are a spammer. Simple and straight. Now, go away.|||Firstly, you were reported for violating the Community Guidelines which triggered the suspension of your previous Answers account. All it took was several violations in rapid succession or a major one to trigger the suspension.

Secondly, the only way to get your other account back is by appealing the suspension. You only have seven days to do this. You can appeal it by clicking on the Customer Care link at the bottom of the suspension notice email. Alternatively, you can do this in the form by going here: http://help.yahoo.com/l/us/yahoo/answers鈥?/a>

Be forewarned if your appeal is denied, you need to leave the other account alone and deal with the one you have now. 10 points will be deducted from the final score of your suspended account if you lose.|||Either you wrote or posted something bad you were not fully aware of, there is a mistake by Yahoo, you are not telling the full truth, and/or your postings were reported several times in a short amount of time.

You can appeal for 7 days after the suspension email. The email should have a link to appeal.

Sorry to say but the odds are against you. If you really did not violate the rules I wish you good luck.|||Since you are posting with an account created March 30,2008 that would be indicative that you had more than one account which could be problematic, it is a serious cheating violation of community guidelines and often results in suspension.

you can appeal but chances of a reversal are slim.

Will ebay suspend my account on their website if I advertise my sales on Yahoo answers?

By asking questions like 'want to look at ____?'|||yahoo will certainly delete your account and you are not likely to get very many clicks to an ebay link. YouTube and the record companies are actually very serious

Is there a way to temporarily suspend your own facebook account, without completely removing yourself?

The situation is complicated, but I would like to be able to make my facebook account inaccessible to even myself for a short period of time. In other words, I don't want it to be possible for someone to access my account even if they have the correct password (and I don't really want to change the password, for a variety reasons). Is this possible?

Thanks!|||Yes, you can deactivate your account.

If you deactivate your account from the "Deactivate Account" section on the Account page, your profile and all information associated with it are immediately made inaccessible to other Facebook users. What this means is that you effectively disappear from the Facebook service. However, if you want to reactivate at some point, your profile information (friends, photos, interests, etc.) is saved, and your account will look just the way it did when you deactivated if you decide to reactivate it. Many users deactivate their accounts for temporary reasons and expect their information to be there when they return to the service.

They know it happens. If you're honest you'll be just fine and wont have to worry about it ever. But i chuckled at the question because before i read the explanation i assumed you wanted to know how many DVD's you could scam from them. "Hey netflix its me again. How many violations can you receive, before Yahoo Answers can suspend your account?

The Yahoo statement is that one or more trusted reporters must report a question or answer for it to be deleted. You can appeal and if the appeal is upheld the reporter loses some credibility. It takes a number of violations to get someone suspended, the exact number would vary dependant on the severity of the violations.|||It is not how many you get. You can get small violations such as not a question/answer, Chat or rant, spam, insulting other members and not get your account deleted. If you get several of these in a day then yahoo will delete your account immediately. If you get one every once in a while you are ok.

All It takes is one major violation such as harm to minors, violence or threats, harassment or privacy invasion, impersonation or misrepresentation, fraud or phishing, and your account can be deleted at once.

Hope this helps!!!|||You never can tell for sure though. One of my answers was falsely reported and no specific reason was given and yahoo suspended my yahoo answers account. I appealed of course both the violation and the suspension and I won both appeals and my answer and my account were restored. But it was not a nice thing to go through.

Can solicitors suspend your bank account?

On behalf of the local city council their solicitors have threatened to suspend a friends bank account for not paying council tax. What process do they go through to get that information if so?|||Its not actually the solicitor who suspends the account the Solicitor writes a request to the bank its up to the bank manager to decide if the request is justified, If not the solicitor will need to get a warrent from a magistrate.

Good luck and be careful.|||yes it does me to done do it unless u go directly to the yahoo site|||I've recieved these once in a while.

Generally speaking they are phishing scams.

phishing is where they trick you into visiting a page that is a replica of the one you're supposed to be going to so that they may log your credentials. (steal your account)

There are several standard techniques, especially suceptible to this is Internet Explorer, as it has ways built into it (that will not be mentioned here) that allow the URL (Uniform Resource Locator) AKA: The address, and the page you are visiting to be seperated. (In otherwords, you'll see www.yahoo.com or some such at the top of your page, but actually be on some other duplicated site.)

The other version of this is usually to have a very similar site name, such as www.yahhoo.com or www.yah0o.com etc. The minor changes can be easilly overlooked until it's too late, or in many cases the common user does not even look at the top bar.

In cases like these delete the message, ALWAYS delete the message, wether you believe it's legit or not. Assume it isn't. If it included special instructions, keep a copy of the instructions.

Then manually type in the address and log in to the site with which you hold an account they are claiming will be shut down.|||i havent heard of yahoo suspending accounts before

You can appeal but that is rarely successful, You might be best to forget it and start over again with a new account.Yahoo doesn't seem to play favorites, it doesn't matter if you have been a member for day, a week,a month or years or are a top contributor the same rules apply to everyone. It also doesn't seem to matter the number of violations but more the severity or perceived severity of the violations. Yahoo takes a dim view of SPAM, bigotry, pornography , being underage 13, insulting other members, racism, anything that even borders on illegal such as drugs even soft drugs, downloading movies, music programs etc. or links to that kind of stuff Any of that can mean a speedy exit.

Why would youtube suspend someones account? I never post any videos but they are some channels I really enjoy watching. Does anyone have any idea why occasionally some channels and accounts get suspended. Thanks|||If they break any rules listed in the Terms and Conditions.|||Breaking TOS is a general answer, the TOS is here:

http://www.youtube.com/t/community_guidelines

Usual violations that get people banned are posting copyrighted material (like tv shows), posting videos with defamatory "hate speech" (derogatory videos about some religions and races often get flagged this way), and pornography or inappropriate sexual content.

The way it generally works is someone objects and flags a video, then that might get investigated by youtube. If they decide to suspend your account, there is an appeal process, but they can always just ban you and/or delete your videos if they so choose.|||If the guy breaks youtube's TOS by posting spam vids or violent stuffs etc etc then he'll get banned..thats how youtube plays..u cant stop it :(

How many violation notices do you usually get before they suspend your account?

It varies.

People who commit 'terms of service' violations frequently lose all Yahoo accounts - email, IM, paid services, etc., as well as Answers, often after only ONE violation. Many TOS violations are things which are illegal in the real world - fraud, theft (NOTE: this includes questions on how to do illegal downloads like bit torrents, requests to use someone's account on another site, how to hack others' accounts or computers), threats, and more, but also can include spam.

'Community Guidelines' violations are usually less severe - 'chat', 'not a question/answer', etc. - and even if you get a lot of these violations at once, you mostly only lose your Answers account. Assuming a reasonably active account, 1 or 2 minor violations a month PROBABLY won't lose you your account.

Be aware, though, that Yahoo reserves the right to delete an entire account for one single violation. If your other Yahoo accounts are important to you, it's a good idea to either move them to a separate ID from your Answers account or read and scrupulously follow the site's rules.|||dunno probably loads but you'll never get an answer cos they'll be suspended and unable to tell you innit

Somebody falsely reported me last week and for one violation, my account was suspended. I am a level 7 user and always follow the rules. So I appealed both, the violation and the suspension and I won and both were restored.

Remember it is always best to be polite and give specific reasons as to why your answer or question was not a violation.|||With a young account, you were either receiving many violations or more likely got a bad TOS violation.

Did you know that if you claim to be a horse on YA, that is a TOS violation. Also, posting that you are under thirteen is a TOS violation.

TOS violations are the most serious and they will zap you quick. Most people who get zapped for things other than vile, racist things do one of the following:

1. Post links or ask for links to copyrighted material, usually music or movies. Giving someone a link to a youtube video of your favorite band is illegal in many cases. Limewire is a no-no.

2. Posting or asking for sites for free but pirated software, giving keys to software, or similar illegal activities.

3. Asking for people to give them accounts to sites or asking people if you can use their info and account. That is illegal in most cases.

4. Putting up codes or asking for codes for things like Coke Rewards. That is illegal in most cases.

5. Posting your website that may have business sections or sells anything. That is solicitation.

6. Posting links to scams, get rich quick schemes, work at home scams, or spam.|||The Yahoo statement is that one or more trusted reporters must report a question or answer for it to be deleted. You can appeal and if the appeal is upheld the reporter loses some credibility. It takes a number of violations to get someone suspended, the exact number would vary dependant on the severity of the violations.|||Spend 10 minutes reviewing the Terms of Service and the Community guidelines, Abide by them and you will not have a problem

Why does YA suspend your account for a violation and not even send you a violation or tell you what question?

or answer was a violation?

Then when you appeal they just tell you you violated the rules but don't tell you what it was you did?|||Welcome to my world!

I agree, WIll is an idiot.

~God Bless Our Troops~|||They actually accepted my appeal once or twice. But submitting appeals just puts you at risk of losing more influence and eventually getting suspended faster. Just accept the fact that someday you will be suspended. It's not like there is a limit on the number of accounts you can create. Just be a good boy and never make more than 1 account at a time. It's childish to post under different names or spam thumbs just to look cool because the best answer is rarely ever chosen by number of votes unless it is put to vote.

Since 2007 I must have been suspended somewhere between 50 and 100 times.

Life goes on.|||If that happened to you. How are you asking this question? Sock account? Isn't that cheating? EDIT: Yes I did figure it out. Maybe calling other posters names was the reason you needed a new account. Simply got a new account. Again isn't that cheating. Why would anyone want to deal with a cheater in the first place?Edit: I have one account and I've been here longer than you. So I am wearing that shoe and you are a cheater. But it's ok. Your not the only one. Take a number. Get in line.|||Are you a Conservative? I am, and this morning they've censored all of my questions regarding the new EPA carbon emissions regulations.

I figure screw it, I'll just start a new account.

This whole political answer thing is just a stupid game anyhow.

No one asks serious questions...it's a peeing contest.

And points are about as valuable as credits you win at Skee ball at the amusement park.

Only less so.|||I got a violation the other day and have no idea what I violated. I noticed that I had -10 on my scoreboard and that's the only notice I got. . . . don't know if there was a glitch or what.

Didn't get my 10 pts back either.|||Don't frustrate yourself trying to figure it out. They never offer any comprehensible explanation for anything. Just start a new account and whatever you suspect might have been the cause for the suspension, double up on the conduct.|||They suspended mine a while ago when I discussed and explained one of the players in the planning of 9-11. They use censorship to protect the international and domestic enemies.|||They are liberals and you said something they disagreed with.|||Maybe you called someone an "idiot" like you did in this very question?|||They're in the tank for Obama.|||http://tinyurl.com/6czdjsu

Why do they bother to suspend your account, When you can create another one (using the SAME computer) in 2mins?

Thank you for your answers.|||You've lost perhaps thousands of points and have to work your way up the levels again...it's to try to make you keep to YA guidelines in the future.|||In the (often very faint) hope that you might just possibly realise that your responses have been offensive/inappropriate/spam or whatever.

Of course, for most such people their own lack of intelligence, and their inability to understand what is and is not appropriate, means they do exactly as you suggest.

If my account was suspended I would change my ways, not simply create another and carry on regardless. I (along with the vast majority of the population) would accept that what I had done was inappropriate and would endeavour not to do it again.|||You do lose out since your points and level reset back|||Yep, I would take it as an indication that you might like to consider tempering your responses %26amp; questions with a little consideration to avoid upsetting people....|||Shhhh! How do i suspend my account?

i do not wish to carry on with this account, please inform me how to suspend it or do so for me.|||Go here: https://edit.yahoo.com/config/delete_use鈥?/a>

-Enter in your password once again for verification purposes

-Enter in the anti-spam code; this is to prevent automated submissions

-Click Terminate This Account to finish off this process.

Once you deleted your account, you can never open it back up again due to security reasons.

By terminating your account, you will lose access to your entire Yahoo! ID. Everything stored in your account will be lost during the termination process. All this includes the following:

-Mail

-Address Book

-360

-Answers (your posted content will remain permanently archived)

-Briefcase

-My Yahoo!

When I suspend my WOW account, does it delete my digital games, too?

I suspended my WOW account for about a month. I have Lich King in hard copy, but I bought a digital copy of Cataclysm. When I re-install the game, am I going to still have Cata?|||All you account info, including which expansion you have, is registered to your battle.net account.

All you will need to do is to reinstall is log into your battle.net account and download the entire game (even the expansions you have hard copies for) from there. I would not recommend downloading the entire game from the site as the hard copies contain most of the upgrades/patches that came out before them and will save you time from downloading them off the internet.|||MMOFLY is an exchange site designed specifically for game virtual currencies and items trading.

How long dos Yahoo answers suspend your account for a violation?

I'm just wondering.|||You have seven days from the suspension to appeal. If you do noy appeal or lose that appeal then it's gone forever, sorry.|||Unless you successfully appealed the suspension, your account is gone forever. Remember that all Answers account suspensions are permanent. To keep this from happening to you, please refer to the Community Guidelines and stick to them at all times. Learn to know what's expected of you while on this site. It goes a long way to keep your account from getting suspended and to ensure your future participation here.|||Do they ever take action? I know abuse that's been reported loads of times but it still there. The OP is clearly fake as atre several of the other members and it is a complete invasion of privacy.

http://answers.yahoo.com/question/answer?qid=20110323124230AAEvdEU|||In Yahoo terms, suspended means the same as deleted... without Yahoo losing your account as a statistic.

Most people never get their accounts back. Very few ever get them back and some lose them again, soon after getting them back.|||it is permanent.or if you win your appeal then your suspension is lifted.

As a web hosting provider can I suspend an account for non payment?

I am also the web designer! The client is not only 4 months late for web hosting dues, he's refusing to pay for recent website updates. I feel bad for suspending the site and hope he doesn't do something over the top like try to sue me|||If you are the Provider, then I hope you had the usual Terms of Service in place that explains what happens when you don't pay for your hosting. Most providers suspend the site for a certain period of time and send sufficient notice during the time of suspension that site will be deleted if not renewed/paid up.

Either way, being sued when the can't pay for renewal is probably not going to happen. Just be sure they have been notified that site will be deleted by such a date unless account is brought up to date. Since you also designed the site, you can keep the files. Move them to another folder and lock access to it. Or, you can just lock access to site via the .htaccess file by having it redirect to a warning page which explains why original site does not show.

Ron|||Shouldn't need a contract should have terms of agreement when taking out hosting. Agree you should have protocol if you gave the client enough warning that should be fine enough.

If this is your first time working as a webhost, you can always temporarily take the site down and save all files. Put up a page saying "this site is down due to nonpayment if you are the owner of this site please contact at email or phone....

If it is important to him he will want to do whatever it takes to get it back online if not then don't deal with him anymore. NO MORE FREEBIES, stay strong with your decision.|||Honestly, it sounds like he is taking advantage of your good graces.

He can not sue you, and actually you could probably take him to small claims court and sue him for non-payment.

I would issue him one final bill for the total amount due and warn him he has 2 weeks to pay up or you will terminate the website and shut off his account... and follow through with it.

Good luck to you :)|||As long as you cover yourself by including in the contact the warning that you will cut off service for non payment they can not sue. You are legally allowed to terminate service for non payment, but they must be told first.

Does one copyrighted video on youtube suspend your account?

How come some poeple's video's just get the audio deleted, others video removed or sometimes both, will i get suspended for uploading a kanye west song?|||you wont get suspended unless ALL your videos get copyrighted with audio and image. I recommend you don't upload the video though.its pointless if you upload a video about a song but its not the song.|||no one song/video wont delete your account|||usually they will say if it's copyrighted by a certain group, and there may be ads atatched to your video.

How many violations can you get before they suspend your account?

and how long does a suspension last?|||It's not a hard and fast number, as CALIBER of violation counts for a lot.

50 "chatting" violations are nothing to one obscene avatar.

And, as far as suspensions go, unless you can convince the staff that it was posted "in error", it is forever|||I think 3 and it is suspended forever. I have 2 violations already|||its not 3 cause i alrdy have like 5 lol|||I had about 10 violations and then my account was suspended :(

This is my second account and I think I'll be a bit more careful w/ this one lol|||There is no exact number, since accounts are reviewed individually. One major TOS violation will get you suspended immediately with no warning. Many minor violations over a year will not get you suspended, but those same violations in a couple of days will. YA has always said that EACH violation is a warning your account is under review and the next violation may be the one that puts you over the top.

Suspensions are forever, unless you can convince them they made a mistake in applying the rules and that you didn't violate the rules.|||the same number of licks it takes to get to the center of a Tootsie Pop...the world may never know...

Why does Y!A suspend you account if you report someone for multiple obscene posts?

But yet the person posting the filth is still active. Why is this place so stupid.|||Since suspensions generally don't include the specific reason WHY you were suspended, you can't be certain that was the reason it happened to you. However, more to the point, over-reporting can trigger a review of your own account -- and that may cause a suspension for a variety of reasons. It is recommended that if you report someone, you do so carefully and with restraint. If the material is not removed after 3-4 reports, you can try emailing a link to the person's profile to the staff, directly, in hopes of getting better results. Their email is y_answrs_team@yahoo.com (missing 'e' is deliberate).

As for their account still being active, YA staff take several different approaches to this. Often they will simply remove the offending material, but leave the account itself active. Other times, they remove the entire account -- but the person will make a new one and begin again. It is an endless loop, unfortunately.|||Does the person you reported know that you reported them? If yes they may have wanted to get revenge and quickly report you too to try to save themselves from getting suspended and get rid of you first.|||You might have not heard, Retired Navy Returns, that reporting a specific member for no reason may result the suspension of your account... Maybe what you consider obscene posts aren't obscene to the Staff. To make sure you are filing reports accurately, I urge you to study the Communty Guidelines.

Many people who have reported me admitted that they were suspended for doing so, because their reports were frequently in error.

How do i un-suspend my other yahoo account?

A stupid jackas put mean and harsh answers to people and they reported me and my account was suspended and now i can' t use it...i didnt do anything, it was a stupid "friend" (not really my freind btw he is sitting next to me----%26gt;%26gt;)|||lmao. you cant once its suspended its gone forever|||Suspension is usually temporary and Terminated is permanent. If you got a notification it should say how long you are suspended for|||If you get a glich like answering while its gone try then.

Is it fair for yahoo to suspend a account, for a simple question asked about bodily hygiene?

I asked a question earlier today about cleaning one part of my body, using another part of my body.

For obvious reasons I can not repeat which body part I used to wash another body part, but my dog does it all the time, so use your imagination.|||Why did I get suspended the last time for asking questions about "bewbies"?

Why did I get suspended the time before that for asking why my dog eats cat pewp from the litter box?

LOL...seriously...bewbies and pewp are what always get me kicked from Y! Answers!|||No I think yahoo is stupid I'd like to send them dumb@$$es anthrax and if they do that again report them to bbb.org. lol|||i think thats just fine. D: sent them a hate letter.|||not fair. i feel pity for you|||LOL.|||Lmao yahoo has a dirty dirty mind|||Yahoo! can do whatever Yahoo! wants.|||I think that information could have been very relevant.....especially in this economy when no one can afford running water and soap.|||its probably some troll flagging your question..don't worry. some of my Innocent question have been deleted too!

like "i cant find my iphone music library"

or "which facial scrub is better"|||Dude wtf, no wonder they deleted it! it's a violation...how the F*ck can you wash that private part with another one? lol-they will still be dirty. Use your imagination and soap!

another reason why, it's because we have kids that see this and as a parent, I wouldn't want my kid reading it...would you? Hmm I don't think you would know how to answer if they did!|||damn , its like the Christian Nazi's trolled your question.|||You serious? I've been suspended for the question "What do you want to eat right now?" (use your imagination)|||Depends on which category you submitted your question to. If it was polls and surveys, it doesn't really fit the category.

Also, that is pretty gross.|||lol -no its not fair|||Just about everything is against the rules on this site. Don't worry, there was nothing wrong with your question. People are just too uptight.

Does Yahoo just suspend your account once you've made a certain number of points or what?

This is the second time I've been suspended while following the Terms of Service guidelines to the letter. Is there some issue with my religion or color? And what are some superior and more helpful answer websites that can take things a bit more seriously? Sorry that I didn't want to join in on all the political and religious bickering or racism!|||the sad thing is,they can suspend for any or NO reason, that sucks big time,so,lately i go to answerbag,i had zero violations in a month, and i get nasty if pushed,i had a real crude sex question.

by mistake in the wrong section.not one complaint.i actually laughed when it was on google.

so.as someone will say and say it in a rude way,i say it nicely.there are other sites.many are finding them.it may be time to join them.i did a while back and now have 2 places push an ace.|||one more win.

|||There's really no set number of violations to warrant the permanent suspension of your Answers account. All it takes is just a rapid succession of several violations in a short period of time or a very serious one for this to happen. I strongly recommend you read up on the Community Guidelines right away. Reading up on the rules will just take only a few minutes, and it's a very small price to pay to keep your account from being suspended. This is to ensure your future participation here.

Also, it can just take only one-just one-violation of the Terms of Service that can warrant the sudden deactivation of your entire Yahoo account without any given warning whatsoever. You may also need to read up on the TOS to ensure this doesn't happen.

Keep in mind Yahoo must legally protect itself by not getting into specifics on what I've just explained to you.

Sticking to the rules can help you avoid incurring violations in the future that can result in the suspension or sudden deactivation of your account. When receiving a violation email from Customer Care, please heed their warnings and take them very seriously. They want you to stop the violations immediately. Simple as that.|||No the issue is users posting personal opinions in the guise of a question. Rule is a question must seek knowledge or advice beneficial to all. So no asking what we think, posting derogatory statements of religion or political preferences. You need to take the pop quiz and improve your comprehension|||The problem is that we do not know why some folks get hammered all the time and others breeze through. I fear it may be your Y!A name here that draws the problems in, but it is a vague thought|||They will suspend your account if you get too many violations.

Check the rules to understand what is allowable or not.|||You probably got reported many times.

Should yahoo spank you before before they suspend account?

so ya know when its coming?|||maybe a warning that if you dont behave then you will get your account cancelled because after all that is what it is and also they need to know the difference between suspend and cancel|||No, if anything the idiots that run yahoo should be spanked and made to walk the plank for suspending people in the first place because It doesn't solve a thing.|||That's what the violations are for, just a lil slap and tickle before getting to the good stuff.|||yes they should, fuzzy, yes they should!|||NO! It's child abuse! *cries*|||haha

you said coming|||Yes,if I've been bad and get suspended it's the least they could do!.,..xxx|||I don't plan to GET my account suspended!|||they could send a sympathy joint. the little fvckers|||I don't mind a spanking any too much! But I always return that favor!|||Yes and they did that to me not a warning in site. :(|||Yes. How many times can you overdraw at the bank with your ATM card before they suspend your account?

I mean, if they let you do it, whose fault is that? Don't they make good money on that?|||Good question! How many times can you get Reported before they suspend your account?

How many violation notices does it take?|||Yahoo keeps the exact number secret, so noone knows the exact number.

But rest assured that abuse is treated more seriously than chat. It could take 1 really bad violation (illegat content) or it could take 50+ chat violations.

How frequently you get your violation notices makes a difference, it's not just the number you've had. Someone who has had 50 violations in a day will probably get suspended, someone who has had the 50 violations for the same questions/answer spread over the course of a year probably will not get suspended.
